A truly immersive food tour of Manchester. Your local guide will take you on a multi-stop tour across the city offering edible insights into food history and culture along the way. The tour will include at least eight stops (adding up to a huge meal, come hungry!) revealing why the city’s food and drink scene is booming.
Scranchester Tours firmly believe one of the best ways to learn about a city is through its food and drink, as well allowing guests the chance sample great food from some of the city’s hidden gems the tour reveals the hidden histories behind that food; from Victorian plant hunters and the Italian ice cream families of Little Italy to the birth of vegetarianism.
In most instances, the meeting point for the tour will be Mackie Mayor.
Take the Metrolink to Shudehill. It’s then only a two minute walk turning left onto High Street from New George Street, ending on Eagle Street.
The tour is approximately three and a half hours, finishing in the city centre.
Vegetarian options are available and they will attempt to cater for allergies, however please contact scranchestertours to double check they can cater for your requirements.
Tours run most Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Please check their website for availability.
